Entirely Attired in Gold: Vacheron Constantin Égérie self-winding

Just in time for Christmas, Swiss watch manufacturer Vacheron Constantin has entered the world of „Haute Manufacture“ with the Égérie self-winding. Gold and diamonds are beautifully combined in this watch, gracing the female wrist with stunning elegance.
With its seductively precious allure, this newest Égérie model is an ideal companion for both daytime and evening wear.

Inspired by the world of haute couture and the aesthetic sophistication inherited from Vacheron Constantin’s heritage, the Égérie self-winding celebrates the collection’s unique style. The 35-mm-pink gold case is pebble rimmed with 58 diamonds. Its silvered opaline dial features a „pleats“ pattern created using the tapestry technique. The fine engraving creates a subtle play of textures and depth evoking a precious fabric. It is against this backdrop that time performs its never ending choreography, punctuated by leaf-type hands sweeping across gracefully scripted numerals recalling finely scalloped lace embroidery.
Setting a final distinctive touch, the beautifully rounded diamond-set date display is offset along a diagonal line running between Vacheron Constantin’s signature and the wonderfully restrained crown, perkily adorned with a moonstone. This asymmetry enhances the personality of the Égérie self-winding, gives it a old contemporary twist – and plenty of character.

The Égérie is powered by the in-house calibre 1088. It operates at a frequency of 4 Hz and provides a power reserve of at least 40 hours. Vacheron Constantin has equipped this timepiece with a sapphire case back, revealing the fine watchmaking finishes and openworked oscillating weight inspired by the Manufacture’s logo.

The case is water-resistant up to 3 atm and it pairs its exquisite curves with a pink gold bracelet. Delightfully supple and feeling soft to the skin, it wears comfortably and barely noticeable.

The Égérie self-winding is a very worthy addition to the Égérie Collection introduced earlier this year. Aesthetically and technically outstanding and utterly fascinating, this piece of jewellery will undoubtedly delight watch lovers.

Jaeger-LeCoultre Introduces the New Reverso One

Almost 90 years ago, Jaeger-LeCoultre launched a wristwatch that was destined to become a classic of 20th-century design: the Reverso. As an object that so deftly synthesised form and function, it has become one of the most immediately recognisable watches of all time, looking as fresh and modern today as when it first appeared.
This year, Jaeger-LeCoultre introduced a new aesthetic interpretation of the popular Reverso One women’s watch. Distinguished, like all Reverso models, by the strength and purity of line derived from the original Art Deco design, this new watch adds fresh colour and new refinement to the collection.

The beautifully understated composition of the Reverso One receives a jolt of bold colour, with a vivid new red-wine dial. The rich glow is achived by applying multiple layers of lacquer over a subtle sunray guilloché pattern and is complemented by finely drawn lines that define the four corners of the dial and light and airy Arabic numerals in white that look alsmost as if they have been hand-sketched.

With its elongated case – a design inspired by the very first Reverso Lady model of 1931 – and a row of grain-set diamonds defining the gadroons at the upper and lower edges of the case, the Reverso One interprets femininity in classically refined style.
The case itself is made from stainless steel with its back still blank, just waiting to be engraved by its owner. After all, engraved watches are a classic in their own right. Measuring 40 x 20 x 7.9 mm, the new Reverso One is perfectly proportioned for the female wrist. It is also waterproof up to 3 bar.
The watch is powered by the calibre 657, a reliable, high quality quartz movement.

Soonow Instant Rainbow: The Most Colorful of Skulls

The look of the skeleton on the dial of the Soonow Instant Rainbow has a hypnotic quality. Its right eye shows the power reserve progressing smoothly through the entire color spectrum, as does the seconds indicator in the other socket. Different monochrome Super-LumiNova outlines, around the openings for the eyes, nose and mouth, draw the gaze. And the skull offers a grin full of solid gold teeth.

The Secret Lies in the Twist of the Lines

Today, we take a look at Cartier’s latest watch creations. Before the Maison became an important watchmaker in the 20th century by introducing the first Santos-Dumont in 1904, Cartier had already made a name for itself as a master jeweller. And the Maison still combines watchmaking with the ambition to make its watches look like a piece of jewellery – especially the women’s watches.
The new Maillon de Cartier stands for the unmistakable style of the manufacturer. The watch focuses on the bracelet and its individual links. Cartier has always used links as a central design element for rings, necklaces and bracelets. Traditional standards are interpreted in a modern way, resulting in an exceptional outcome.

With the Maillon de Cartier the Maison introduces a future classic among its collections. For the link bracelet, Cartier has aranged the elements in a way that they lie diagonallyone behind the other. This design gives the feminine watch its special elegance; the interplay of curves and bevels leads to the twisted links.
The dial of the Maillon the Cartier blends harmoniously into the twisted perspective of the braclet. Its elements and the case melt into a single, refined and graphic sweep.

Rectangular elements, a hexagonal dial and bevelled edges complement each other to create a rhythmic design and an overall architectural approach. The case measures 16 x 17mm with a height of only 6.8 mm and is polished to a high gloss.

The dial of the watches is unmistakably Cartier: silver-plated dials, blued steel sword hands and stylised Roman numerals capture the eye as soon as it can tear itself away from the unique bracelet.

The Maillon de Cartier collection consists of a gold base model that features a blue cobochon on the crown and five watches with diamonds. The Maillon de Cartier in red and white gold have 24 brilliant-cut diamonds on the bezel and a red gold Maillon comes with 400 diamonds – not only on the bezel but also on the bracelet. Cartier also offers a white gold version with diamonds all over, including the dial, which amounts to a number of 486 diamonds in total.
All watches are powered by a quartz movement.

The Maillon de Cartier collection also includes two limited editions: A yellow gold watch set with diamonds and a black dial (limited to 50 pieces), and a Maillon whose case, bracelet and dial are set with diamonds and tsavorites. This is a limited edition of only 20 pieces.

Rado Is in Touch with Its Feminine Side

Rado is proud to be known for a balanced collection which offers an equal range of watches for women as for men. It’s just one of the things that makes the manufacturer unique in the watch industry. And with the recently introduced, classic and minimalistic DiaMaster collection, Rado is now showing its softer side – without compromising the hardness and durability of their high-tech materials.

Rado has chosen mother-of-pearls for the DiaMaster-dials – and diamonds. The dial ring formed by the diamonds is the centrepiece of the watch and is the perfect foil for the all-new moonphase indicator.

For the case, Rado has opted for the rose coloured material Ceramos. It is a scratch-resistant mix of 90% high-tech ceramic and 10% metal alloy, and its rich beautiful hue contrasts perfectly with the overall minimalist design of the wristwatches. The monobloc case is with only 5.3 mm in height fantastically slim and measures less than 38 mm in diameter. This makes the watches of the DiaMaster collection suitable for all female wrists, even the slimmest. All cases offer a pressure resistance of up to 3 bar.

All new DiaMaster models are powered by Swiss-made quartz movements; more precisely by the ETA 282.002. The DiaMaster moon phase is equipped with the ETA F05.841. Quartz movements ensure that the watches are slim and therefore they are also light and they offer a high accuracy as well.

The pearl effect stamped leather straps form an optical unit in combination with the case and the mother-of-pearl dial. Thanks to the Rado EasyClip system all straps can quickly and easily exchanged to personalise each DiaMaster for a truly unique look.

Vacheron Constantin Has a New Horological Muse

The Égérie is the new horolocial muse of Vacheron Constantin, and it joins the world of Haute Manufacture. In this new collection dedicated to women, Haute Horlogerie meets Haute Couture, seen through the prism of craftsmanship, precision, excellence and beauty.
The sophisticated style of Haute Couture is subtly paired with the asymmetrical aesthetic faithfully perpetuating the Vacheron Constantin heritage. Thus, the new Érégie collection weaves the face of watchmaking femininity; a watch featuring a classic look, draped with a mischievous touch: inspiring, independent and charismatic.
The feminine name of this collection derives from the famous nymph Egeria featured in Roman mythology to the contemporary muses who inspire artists and designers.

A delicate interplay of textures and intertwined shapes, alternating flat and raised areas; a pleated effect reminiscent of fabric; a singular asymmetry borne by a fluid aesthetic: such is the exquisite aesthetic of the Égérie watch.
Égérie is also the modern interpretation of aesthetic codes cherished by Vacheron Constantin, which has been offering off-centre displays since the early 19th century, notably by playing on two intertwined circles. Égérie has made this its signature touch. The date or moon-phase integration is thus part of a subtle diagonal line formed by the logo and the crown daringly placed between 1 and 2 o’clock. Depending on the model, the latter is adorned with a cabochon-cut moonstone or a rose-cut diamond.

A dial featuring a pleaded pattern. A diamond halo resembling slender braiding and accentuating the feminine shape of the case. And above all, sophistication in every detail, expressed through pleasingly harmonious geometry punctuated by gold Arabic numerals, daintily scalloped like lace.

The Érégie self-winding is availbable in rose gold or stainless steel. The 35 mm pebble-shaped case is crowned with a slender bezel overstitched with 58 diamonds. The dial sets the stage for a delicate opaline silver work of art composed of concentric circles, graced with a pleated pattern. The calligraphic numerals evoke fine embroidery, while the leaf-type hours and minutes hands recall fine needles used by nimble fingers.
The Égérie self-winding is powered by the calibre 1088, an in-house automatic movement that provides a power-reserve of 40 hours.

The night star is at the very heart of the Égérie moon phase model, which comes in a 37 mm case in rose gold or steel, which a diamond-set bezel. An offset circle glittering with 36 diamonds displays a dreamlike version of time, with the gold moon appearing in a starry sky revealed behind clouds formed by a delicate mother-of-pearl assembly. The enchanting charm of this model is further enhanced by its opaline silver dial and pleated pattern.
The Égérie moon phase model is available in stainless steel or rose gold; both versions feature a generous diamond setting. Both are also fitted with the calibre 1088L.
But – the Égérie moon phase is also available as diamond-pavé model in white gold. Its white gold case bears 292 diamonds, while the dial deploys its concentric circles amid a shower of 510 diamonds.

Vacheron Constantin supplies all models on either stainless steel or leather straps, depending on the version.

The Updated Omega Constellation Gents‘ Collection

For the Swiss watchmaker Omega, the pursuit of excellence is a lifetime’s work. In all of its most iconic collections, the brand is constantly innovating its designs to achieve advanced levels of sophistication and precision. This is particularly true for the famous Constellation Gents‘ collection, which is now welcoming its 5th exciting generation of models. The diverse selection includes 26 new models – in yellow and Sedna gold or stainless steel.
Although the Omega Constellation line was first launched in 1952, it was the models released in 1982 that first introduced the familiar look that we recognise today. Most notably, the features of those 1982 models included the four „claws“ on the side of the case, the barrel-shaped case with its half-moon facets at the top and bottom, the mono-link bracelet and also the perfectly circular dial and indexes on the bezel.

Following a similar makeover for its Constellation ladies‘ models in 2018, all of the gents‘ models have been given significant updates. These include polished and bevelled edges along the case, claws and bracelet and slimmer bezels with redesigned Roman numerals. A conical crown adds a little extra touch of sophistication – in perfect harmony with the rest of course. All cases come with a water-resistance of 5 bar.

On the dial, also a lot has changed and the new collection offers a wide range of dial colours and patterns. Hands and hour-markers have been re-designed; they have taken inspiration from the triangular facets of the Freedom Tower in New York. Some of the models also come with diamond hour-markers.
Each dial also features a trapezoidal date window below the golden star.

And of course, all of the models in the Constellation Gents‘ collection have been upgraded to Master Chronometer status. As a result, these watches have the highest certification for precision, performance and magnetic resistance. And of course, a contemporary calibre.
The Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8800/8801 can be observed through the sapphire crystal case back. This automatic movement provides a power reserve of 55 hours and withstands magnetic fields up to 15,000 Gauss.

The watches come with a stainless steel or leather bracelet, depending on the version.

Zenith Places Women in the Spotlight in Dubai

Zenith embarks on the debut edition of LVMH Watch Week with a new kind of innovation in its Defy collection with the Defy Midnight, a uniquely conceived line of women’s watches with a cosmic touch. Patrimony Self-winding: Minimalist Elegance in a Midnight Blue Gown

Vacheron Constantin has introduced two new, minimalist women’s watches that combine a timeless elegance, a feminine silhouette and sparkling diamonds. The Patrimony is the ideal watch for women who are looking for an elegant, straightforward and technically demanding timepiece. The perfect form of the Patrimony self-winding is reserved, the appearance is understated, distinguished and aesthetically extremely appealing. Since 2004, the Patrimony line embodied timeless watchmaking, striking a perfect balance between classicism and modernity.

The Patrimony self-winding is available in two versions – with diameters of 36 and 36.5 mm. The pink gold cases are water-resistant up to 3 bar.
This watch is either available in a simple pink gold version or with diamonds. In the latter, the beauty of 68 round-cut diamonds carefully aligned on the bezel; and the ultimate touch of a diamond-set crown with a diamond. A spark that gives even greater intensity to the midnight to the midnight blue shimmer of the sunburst satin-finish dial.
The surface of the dial is subtly curved and punctuated by a pearl minute-track carved into the material. Sleek hour-markers, a date window at 6 o’clock, slender pink gold hours and minutes hands complemented by a slim seconds hand, delicately curved to follow the dainty outline of the dial.

Precision and reliability is what first comes to mind when we think of the movements of Vacheron Constantin. And we, like a lot of watch enthusiasts, are especially excited, when manufacturers incorporate their powerful automatic calibres (and the mechanical ones, too!) into women’s watches. The main problem is, of course, that these movements are usually bigger and heavier than quartz movements; only with the latter, the smallest women’s watches can be realized.

The minimalism, which the Patrimony self-winding radiates, is paired with a dark blue alligator leather strap, which enhances the slim design additionally.

For Men and Women: The New Tonda 1950 Lune

Two years after it first appeared, Parmigiani Fleurier is updating the aesthetic of the Tonda 1950 Lune with a model featuring a slate dial and a second design with round diamonds on the bezel. Both showcase the poetry of the „lunar calendar“ complication which illuminates their dial with a new layout. Behind this harmony, it is easy to forget the sheer mechanical complexity required to create an ultra-thin self-winding movement with so many time indications.

With a rose gold case matched with a slate colour dial, this Tonda 1950 Lune is the epitome of the classic elegant watch. The lunar calendar, displaying the two hemispheres, is located at 10 o’clock instead of its previous position at 12 o’clock. This offset layout balances the date at 3 o’clock, the logo at 1 o’clock, and the small seconds window at 6 o’clock. All of the time indications are structured to create a pleasingly harmonious dial.

On the other hand, the Tonda 1950 Lune with diamonds features a rose gold case, a mother of pearl dial, a beautiful complement to the light which plays across the stones – a combination which cannot fail to enthral. Additional touches adorn the piece, such as the moon at 10 o’clock which is set in the middle of a starry sky, and the gold outline around the date window at 4 o’clock. Lastly, the dial has been made smaller to accommodate a slightly broader bezel, allowing larger diamonds to be set within it, offering exceptional sparkle and brilliance, unlike any other.

The Tonda 1950 Lune owes its slender proportions to its calibre, the PF708, a mechanism combining precision and reliability with automatic winding thanks to its platinum micro-rotor. Its elements have been carefully arranged o the main plate to ensure the various time indications are harmoniously displayed. As is standard practice at Parmigiani Fleurier, and one of its hallmarks, it boasts hand-applied finishes and bevelled bridges. Its structure is complemented by „Côtes de Genève“ decoration.
The automatic movement works at a frequency of 3 Hz and provides a power reserve of 48 hours.
