The New TAG Heuer Carrera Lady

Elegant and enduring, the new Carrera Lady timepiece features a design that enhances the entire collection. From bold colours to the improved readability of the dial, the revamped Carrera Lady timepieces deftly combine performance and style. With their feminine flair and understated sophistication, any one of the new models in the Carrera Lady 36 mm collection will make the ideal accessory for the discerning and confident modern urban woman. And who to communicate this better than model, actress and TAG Heuer Brand Ambassador Cara Delevingne.

A glance at the dial reveals refined indexes and hands. The dial is available in white mother-of-pearl, purple, grey, blue and black, and is perfectly legible thanks to its markedly pure design. A seconds scale is printed on the flange around the dial, and is surrounded by either a smooth or diamond-set bezel. A final detail that sets the new Carrera Lady wristwatch apart from their predecessors is the date window at 3 o’clock – the frame boasts an intriguing trapezoidal shape, as opposed to the square shape of the original.

The 36 mm stainless-steel timepieces now feature curved lugs and a water-resistance to 10 bar. TAG Heuer offers three different straps for the new collection: a brushed and polished stainless-steel bracelet, a calfskin strap (in black or blue) or an alligator leather strap with a satin finish (in purple, taupe or grey).
The case size in combination with the automatic movement makes the Carrera collection a modern watch that stands out from the other ladies‘ watches of the avant-garde manufacturer. With its 36-mm-diameter, the case is larger than those of the women’s watches that TAG Heuer generally creates, but is ideal for a statement-making piece that is robust yet classy.

The new TAG Heuer Carrera Lady is equipped with either a quartz or an automatic movement. The automatic calibre 5 works with a frequency of 4 Hz and offers a power reserve of 38 hours.

The case back of the quartz-powered models is stamped with the TAG Heuer logo and collection name, along with a cross-hatched pattern that serves as a nod to the Carrera line’s motor-racing heritage. Alternatively, the mechanical movement counterparts feature a sapphire case back that provides an unobstructed view of the automatic calibre within.

Discreet and Sleek: Chrono Diamond Zelya

Recently, Chrono Diamond has added a few new models to its already extensive collection. So we thought it is about time to take a closer look at one of them. We have picked the Zelya, a wonderfully sleek women’s model that, like all other watches from Chrono Diamond, stands for the use of high quality materials and Swiss craftsmanship.

The Chrono Diamond Zelya is the beautiful embodiment of a discreet and slender ladies‘ watch. It couldn’t be more understated. In this timepiece, nothing distracts from the true, most important role of a watch: the display of the time.
Chrono Diamond has furnished the dial with a sunburst finish whose unity isn’t interrupted by a date window or subdials. The Zelya displays hours, minutes and seconds in a classic manner using three central hands and simple applied indices. The company logo is flanked by the two diamonds, characteristic for all Chrono Diamond watches. The dial is protected by a hardened mineral glass.

The Zelya features a stainless steel case with a diameter of 36 mm and a height of only 8 mm. So the watch is on the smaller size and with its short lugs it should fit perfectly on every wrist. The case is waterproof up to 5 atm and thus up to most everyday challenges.
In the case you’ll find a reliable Swiss quartz movement working tirelessly. Opting for quartz made the moderate proportions possible in the first place.
The Zelya is completed by a beautiful and slim Milanaise bracelet.

Chrono Diamond offers a variety of different versions of this watch. It comes not only in a stainless steel version, but also with gold, pink gold or black PVD coating. It can also be chosen between different colored dials; from silver and gold to dark grey and blue. So there should be something for every taste, from plain and simple to a little more sporty and eye-catching.

The new Mido Baroncelli Midnight Blue

With the new Baroncelli Midnight Blue watches, Mido is commemorating its horological heritage. This watch is offered as a pair and is thus part of the Baroncelli line. Just perfect for all the couples who want to express their affiliation with two matching timepieces.

Mido has finished the deep blue dials of the Baroncelli Midnight Blue with a satin sunburst finish. The women’s model features diamond hour-markers, which further enhance the intensity of the blue hue. The Dauphine-shaped rose gold hour and minute hands are faceted, as are the beautiful lancet-shaped indexes of the men’s version.
There’s just one small complaint we have about the Baroncelli Midnight Blue and that is, that the dark blue dials are quite rudely interrupted by the white date windows at the 4.30 o’clock position. The dials are protected by a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating on both sides.

The round cases of the two timepieces are measuring 29 mm for the ladies‘ version and 38 mm for the men’s version. They are made of stainless steel with a rose gold PVD coating and are water-resistant up to a pressure of 5 bar or 50 metres.

The two Baroncelli Midnight Blue are powered by an automatic movement. In the women’s model, the ETA 2671 operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour. It provides a power reserve of 38 hours. Mido has equipped the men’s watch with the Calibre 80 (based on the ETA C07.611), which provides a power reserve of up to 80 hours. However, it operates at a slightly lower frequency with 21,600 vibrations per hour. Both movements are decorated with Geneva stripes and the company logo. Mido has equipped both watches with a sapphire crystal back so the movements and its finish can be admired accordingly.

Mido has fitted both models with a Vachette leather strap in a semi-matte crocodile look.
In addition to the two Baroncelli Midnight Blue watches with rose gold coating, Mido also offers the pair in a stainless steel version.

Piaget Presents New Polo Versions at the SIHH 2019

The elegant Piaget Polo has represented the sporty and casual side of Piaget Manufacture since 1979, when the collection was first launched. This year’s Piaget Polo models capture the essence of the Maison in 2019, injecting the collection’s recurring vitality with a pop of colour and a dash of sparkle.

In 2016, the Piaget Polo debuted a refreshed look that updated its hallmark design for the new millenium. The slender proportions remained, but with a larger case size and a bezel that blended oblong and round shapes for an exuberant celebration of Piaget’s signature aesthetic. The classic faceted dauphine hands embraced a friendlier approach, trading sharp angles for softer curves. The bold horizontal dial and case godroons transitioned into dial guillochage that offered subtle texture without overpowering it.
Following the popularity of the steel launch models and the acclaimed 2018 introduction of gold to the new Piaget Polo, the 2019 models confidently move the collection into other areas of the Maison’s expertise – the use of colour and gem-setting.

The steel 42 mm Piaget Polo comes dressed in verdant hues, with a green dial that changes in tone and intensity depending on the angle of light that hits the guilloché surface. A dark green alligator leather strap completes the tone-on-tone look.

A second 42 mm model, this time in red gold, comes in two diamond-set versions. The first features a simple halo of brilliant-cut diamonds on the emblematic bezel, whilst the second is unrestrainedly spirited with a fully paved dial and bezel. These models come with two alligator straps for maximum versatility; a sober blue strap sets off the sparkle of diamonds while a deep gament strap emphasises the warmth of the red-gold case.

The new Piaget Polo models of 2019 are driven by the automatic calibre 1110P of Manufacture Piaget, ensuring a high level of timekeeping performance designed for our modern times. It works at a frequency of 4 Hz and provides a power reserve of approximately 50 hours.
All new Piaget Polo watches show hours, minutes, seconds, as well as a date at 6 o’clock.

The green model is limited to 500 pieces.

Watch Out for the New Richtenburg Diamond Line

This spring, Richtenburg presents a new collection for the ladies, which offers a lot. As always, the watch manufacturer has devoted itself to its new creations with a great deal of attention to detail. Each of the four models of the Diamond Line is offered in various versions – in stainless steel or with PVD coating and with different colored dials.

The Belana is a ladies‘ watch with a classic style. Richtenburg has given it a modern look with a large second and lance-shaped hands. In order to provide sufficient space for the huge subdial, Richtenburg has placed the Roman numerals only in the upper half of the dial and the numeral at twelve o’clock was replaced by a diamond.
Richtenburg provides six different versions of the Belana, including two trendy bi-coloured versions; with a light or dark dial and matching ceramic inlays in the bracelet.
The case with the elegantly integrated lugs has a diameter of 36 mm and is water resistant to 5 atm.

The Richtenburg Gesa is a simple three-hand watch with a date window. The dial is dominated by the applied Roman numerals and a red seconds hand. A diamond sits at twelve o’clock. In order to guarantee easy readability, Richtenburg has equipped the hands with luminous material.
The Gesa comes in a case with a diameter of 36 mm and a water resistance of 5 atm.
Richtenburg offers five different versions of the Gesa; all equipped with a leather strap, elegant and extremely versatile.

The Richtenburg Innessa is a model for the more unusual taste. This watch also displays hours, minutes, seconds and a date at six o’clock. The right  side of the dial features four diamond hour-markers and the large company logo, while the rest of the dial is dominated by a stylized tiger head with piercing red eyes.
The Innessa has a diameter of 36 mm. You can choose between a stainless steel version with gold or pink gold coating and two bi-colour models.

The last model of the Richtenburg Diamond Line is the slim Vivana. This watch is for the more playful among us. It comes with stars and a glittering crescent moon on the dial, which together with the leather straps form a colorful unit. The Vivana also features a diamond at the twelve o’clock position.
The small case measures only 28 mm in diameter. Richtenburg offers six different versions of this wristwatch.

All models of the Richtenburg Diamond Line are powered by a Swiss quartz movement.

With this new collection Richtenburg has combined the best of all worlds. The Swiss movement is running smooth and reliable, while the watches remain affordable and meet every taste due to the multitude of variants offered.

Patek Philippe: Impressive Technology Beautifully Wrapped

Ah, with one of its newest watches, Patek Philippe seduces all the ladies out there who want a beautiful, luxurious watch that simultaneously satisfies their needs for technical excellence. As early as 2009 the manufacturer introduced a chronograph exclusively for feminine wrists. It was the debut of a classic manufacture-made chronograph movement  (column wheel, horizontal clutch, manual winding) that had been developed entirely in-house. That was also expressed by the name of the watch: Ladies First Chronograph Ref. 7071, built until 2016. And now, the Genevan manufacture is enriching its collection with a new, captivating model.

The new chronograph Ref. 7150/250R-001 is a technically sophisticated watch with a totally new face. The cushion-shaped case has been replaced with an elegant, round rose-gold case with a diameter of 38 mm featuring a bezel set with 72 diamonds. Its timelessly sleek design is emphasized by refined vintage looking details such as the fluted and curved lugs, the round chronograph pushers with guilloched faces, and the cambered sapphire-crystal „box“ glass. The case is water-resistant up to 3 bar.

The silvery opaline dial also combines a contemporary style with classic aesthetics, showcasing sculpted Breguet hour and minute hands in rose gold and a display layout that makes it eminently legible. At 3.30 you’ll find the 30-minute-counter and the running seconds is placed at 9.30. The pulsometer scale of the new model pays tribute to the tradition of classic chronographs that can measure the cadence of an active lifestyle or slightly increased heart rate of its proud owner.

The compact case accommodates the manually winding calibre CH 29-535 PS movement with an instantaneous 30-minute counter. Patek Philippe has crowned its classic architecture with six patented innovations and its lavish finissage can be admired through the box-type sapphire-crystal case back that is slightly chamfered to echo the profil of the rear bezel. The movement works with 28.800 vph and boasts a power reserve of 65 hours.

The Ref. 7150/250R-001 is worn on a shiny mink gray alligator leather strap. Its rose gold buckle is encrusted with 27 diamonds.

Passionate and Glamorous: The New PanoMatic Luna

Glashütte Original celebrated on the International Day of the Kiss, July 6, 2018, the magic of love and passion. With a special limited edition, that truly comes from the heart, a beautiful women’s watch.
Studded with diamonds and rubies, the PanoMatic Luna proudly wears the colour of love, permitting this mechanical ladies watch to give its classic moon phase display a new, exceptionally enticing appearance.

The dial of the new PanoMatic Luna unites two romantic elements in an elegant composition. On the background of a white mother-of-pearl dial, the softly curved moon in relief and the silver-coloured, starry night sky reveal a poetry all their own. At 2 o’clock, one finds the vaulted opening of the moon phase display. The curve of the moon is the product of great manual skill and attentive diamond milling in the watchmaker’s own dial manufactory in Pforzheim, Germany.
This spectacle of the changing crescent moon is complemented by 18 ruby indexes, which offer luminous red reflections on the opposite of the dial, and serve as a frame for the off-centre hour and minute display. They are positioned together with the small seconds – in classic Pano style – along a vertical axis in the left half of the dial, while the moon phase display and characteristic Glashütte Original Panorama Datum adorn the right side.

What, without the brilliance of the stars, would a romantic night sky be? The bezel on the new PanoMatic Luna is set with 64 brillant-cut diamonds that reflect light with every movement. They form a glamorous frame for the round, 39.4 mm stainless steel case, whose crown is adorned on the right side by a ruby. Sapphire crystal, antireflective on both sides, assures optimal views from the dial side.
Ticking within the PanoMatic Luna is the manufactory’s own calibre 90-12 automatic movement, which can be admired through the sapphire crystal case back. The latter opens up the view to the refined decorations on the heart of the watch, and to the coveted duplex swan-neck fine adjustment from Glashütte Original. A great many other traditional elements of Glashütte watchmaking offer irrefutable proof of the origin of the watch, among the the three-quarter plate and characteristic Glashütte decorative finishes.

The watch is held in place on the wrist by a radiant red Louisiana alligator leather strap, which together with a pin buckle ensures a secure and stylish fit. As mentioned earlier, this PanoMatic Lunar is a limited edition of only 50 pieces.

Diamonds Are Forever: The New Jewellery Collection

F.P. Journe introduces a new feminine and sensuous version of the élégante Joaillerie set with diamonds and multi-color precious stones to sublimate women’s wrists.
It took eight years of research for F.P. Journe to develop this horological concept with extremely precise requirements, leading to this gem of innovation, technical performance, precision and comfort.

The 40 mm Platinum patented flat Tortue case is pave-set with diamonds intertwined with rubies, blue sapphires, tsavorites or black diamonds. The dial is also set with similar stones and a diamond hour circle. The black diamond version features an opposite setting which makes the numerals in this version stand out more than in the coloured ones. The functions include central hours and minutes and a small seconds at 6 o’clock.
The case is made from platinum, features a transparent sapphire back and is water resistant up to 3 bar.

The élégance by F.P. Journe was designed and conceived to provide this watch with a very long autonomy of 8 to 18 years depending if in daily use or in standby mode.
The élégance embodies the intelligent watch. The electro-mechanical movement is fitted with a mechanical motion detector visible on the dial at 4.30. After 30 motionless minutes, the watch switches to standby mode in order to save energy and its hands stop turning. During the standby mode, the microprocessor continues to measure time, but the mechanical elements – gear train, rotors and hands, stop moving. As soon as the watch is worn again, the hands automatically set themselves to the correct time, taking the shortest path, whether clockwise or counter-clockwise. The movement, responsible for it all, is the calibre 1210, a quartz movement working at 32.768 Hz.

A watch that allows time to be stopped and started again is the dream not only of watchmakers but of watch-enthusiasts as well. Downright magic on your wrist. And the gems in this collection are a sparkly bonus.
The Élégante New Jewellery Collection is completed by powdered satin bracelets of matching colours. The folding clasps are also set with diamonds.

Jaquet Droz Ateliers d’Art: Lady 8 Flower

Today we look at an extraordinary ladies watch; a timepiece imbued with the spirit of the jeweler’s craft – the new Jaquet Droz Lady 8 Flower. Minimalist and richly ornate by turns, the Lady 8 and its distinctive undulating silhouette have made their marks as touchstones of femininity, elegance and watchmaking refinement.

The Lady 8 Flower, a fusion of the arts and crafts Jaquet Droz is known to master, is made up of two superimposed circles creating a figure of eight. The eight is an emblematic number for the brand and a symbol of harmony, perfection and infinity. The lower circle features a delicate butterfly, its wings outstretched. Two versions are available: one with the butterfly’s wings painted and engraved in translucent red enamel on a guilloché background; the other, incorporating jewels, features a butterfly set with blue sapphires and portrait against snow-set diamonds. The upper circle reveals a lotus flower under a sapphire crystal dome. Representing serenity and poetry, and sacret to many Asian cultures, the flower has been crafted with the utmost care. Each petal is individually enameled or engraved to give its back a perfect satin finish.
The watch shows only hours and minutes.

As a mysterious bud or fully opened jewel-like bloom, this animation is not simply a pure vision of naturalistic and poetic beauty. By pressing a push-button the lotus flower opens, revealing its diamond heart. For Jaquet Droz, the timepiece also presented a new technical challenge: accommodating the two mechanisms, the watch’s and the automaton’s – within a 35 mm diameter case, while ensuring one never interferes with the other.
The Lady 8 Flower is powered by a mechanical movement which beats with 21,600 v/ph and provides a power reserve of 38 hours.

The case comes with brilliant cut diamonds either in red or white gold and water-resistant up to 38 hours. Jaquet Droz limited both versions; the red gold one to 28 pieces, the white gold Lady 8 Flower to 8 pieces.

Jaeger-LeCoultre presents a New Limited Edition

To mark the 74th Venice International Film Festival, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Manufacture, which has been a partner of the festival for over 12 years, has presented an artistic edition of Rendez-Vous watches. Since its launch in 2012, the Rendez-Vous collection has always been associated with the world of cinema. This year once again, the romantic ambiance of the Most Serene Republic is a splendid backdrop against which to present these feminine pieces. The latest watches issued from the Grande Maison’s Métiers Rares „Rare Handcrafts“ workshop, the Rendez-Vous Sonatina pieces express three different stages of romantic feelings: seduction, romance, and love.
To create these three limited editions, the Manufacture called on all of its most iconic forms of expertise, giving its watchmakers and artisans free rein to work their art. These pieces call on no fewer than three crafts: guillochage, painting on mother-of-pearl, and gem-setting.

The mother-of pearl dial is decorated by hand with a guilloché motif that stretches across its entire surface before being coated in a slightly tinted layer of paint. This is the backdrop on which the artisans paint the miniature paintings by hand. Some parts of it, such as the birds, have been covered with a layer of clear lacquer to add an impression of depth.
Like mentioned earlier, each of the three models represents one stage of love. The first stage is embodied by the „Séduction“. Two swallows soaring over a lavender field embody this moment. The „Romance“ depicts this state of endless reverie with a kingfisher perched on the branch of a blossoming cherry tree. The last model, the „Amour“, bears two magpies flying alongside one another above a patch of peonies.

Above all this every creation bears countless gems. The bezel is adorned with brillant-cut diamonds that bring out the poetic creation on the dial. A line of these gemstones runs above the iconic Rendez-Vous collection numerals on the flange to echo the string of stones that delicately surround the dial’s central painting. To complete the decoration, diamonds are also inserted into each side of the case.

The pink gold Rendez-Vous Sonatina large incorporates different complications. Adjusted using the crown at 2 o’clock , a star indicates a future rendezvous with a chiming sound. This reminder is complemented by a day/night indication. Housed at 6 o’clock in an aperture shaped like the flowers painted on the dial, the sun and moon take turns to perform their never-ending dance.
These watches are powered by the automatic calibre Jaeger-LeCoultre 735. This movement works with 4 Hz and provides a power reserve of up to 40 hours.
The rose gold case comes with a diameter of 38,2 mm, it is water resistant up to 5 bar and is completed by a leather bracelet.

These watches are limited to 8 pieces each.
